Requested User Name:Your username (at most 8 characters) will be the same for all research machines on which you get accounts. We will be synchronizing with the main UH username system soon, so please use your Cougarnet username here if you have one. (Class accounts may be allocated from a block of names, however.)
Project Membership:You must be a member of at least one (1) project. The principal investigator for the project will let you know the name to put here. The project name is a single word (alphanumeric). Separate multiple project names with spaces and/or commas.
Principal Investigator:Name of the project's principal investigator or the account sponsor. This may be your instructor's name, in the case of class accounts.
Login Shell:bash is our default shell, but see this discussion of the merits of various shells if you are undecided. Please note that only shells listed here are supported, but you can have another one (if available on a given platform) as long as you understand the lack of support.
